  • Hola a todos. I'm a California Certified Naturalist and Interpretive guide. My focus is California Native Plants and how indigenous people used them in their daily lives. I don't represent any org, but I am a founding member of Nature for All Stewards, an instructor with Outward Bound Adventures, an Earthwatch Certified Community Scientist and a nature lover. I've worked building up the urban forest with a conservation corps as well as done restoration work along rivers and wetlands. My family is of Tarahumara and Tepehuanes descent. Tepehuan means Mountain Dweller. The mountains are and always will be home. The San Gabriel Mountains are my cause. I try my best to facilitate experiences that will provide an emotional connection to people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds to the nature that surrounds us. If we didn't connect personally at the 2019 Summit, I encourage you to reach out. I'm @chaparralchick on the socials. If you find yourself in the Los Angeles area, come walk with me. Tepehuan significa gente que vive in montaña.
